We're aware of a problem trying to view PDFs in landscape mode on the new iPhone OS 3.0. We hope to release a bugfix as soon as possible.

Papers for iPhone is not installed after update to OS 3.0. Is this a known problem for the first generation iPhone?

No it shouldn't. Make sure you sync first after the update, that will reinstall the apps (also check the applications tab when selecting your iPhone in iTunes)

I think this might be a problem I am also seeing. Sometimes when I rotate into landscape mode, papers freezes at about 45 degree rotation. Is this the same problem?

A quick update, we have just submitted the Papers for iPhone 1.2 update for review, hopefully it will be out soon. It fix this and several other bugs related to the iPhone OS 3.0 update. And as a bonus we've added one big new feature: in-app emailing of articles and PDFs!

Like to report that PDFs don't rotate to landscape view for me as well. iPod Touch 2nd Gen, OS 3.0 and Papers for iPhone 1.2

Papers crashes if I try to go into landscape view (iPhone 3G w/OS 3.0 and Papers 1.2).

Does this happen with all PDFs or only some, and does it help if you restart the phone? Finally, if it happens with only certain PDFs please send us examples.

It happens on virtually every pdf downloaded from www.arxiv.org (i do not know if it happens on any other as i only use arxiv pdf's)

I just purchased both iphone (OS 3.1 installed) and papers for iphone. I downloaded the library from my MAC through Sync and played around with it. But when i rotate the iphone for landscape mode, screen won't rotate immediately but if i shake it or stay for seconds, it crashes sometimes rotate the screen first and crashes right after that, sometimes just crashes. It happens almost everytime (>90%) no matter what screen i am in (initial screen, paper info, and pdf...)

rotating pdf slides seems to not work on iphone. i suppose this
is related to this landscape mode problem described in this thread?

i[m running iphone os 3.1.2, papers for iphone version 1.2.
