Please let us know which websites don't allow downloading of the PDF

For certain sites PDF downloading doesn't work (a number have been fixed in the 1.1 update, but not all).

In all cases we have discovered so far the problem is unfortunately not so much Papers but either a limitation in the current iPhone SDK (for example, although mobile safari handles security certificates fine, the webkit components we have to use doesn't) or a limitation in the form of the publishers not building very iPhone friendly websites (for example with the PDF loading in frames.

We would like you to report websites from which downloading the PDF proves difficult so we can try to create a workaround.

Please only post links if you have verified that it doesn't work in the Papers for iPhone 1.1 update.

Re: Please let us know which websites don't allow downloading of the PDF

On Journal of Cognitive Neuroscience pages, I can download via the PDF links, but not the ones labeled [b]PDF Plus[/]. the latter always seem to stall out on the iPad, though they work fine in Papers for Mac and various browsers. I haven’t found any papers from that journal where it doesn’t happen. Have not checked other MIT Press journals, nor tried to retrieve http headers.
